Dreading Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping? Here’s a better idea: Giving Tuesday.
Giving Tuesday started in the U.S. in 2012 as a giving-focused day and adopted by Canada in 2013. It is a new Canadian movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Cyber Monday. The “Opening day of the Giving Season,” it is a day where charities, companies and individuals join together to share commitments, rally for favourite causes and think about others. “We have two days that are good for the economy. Now we have a day that is good for the community too.”
GivingTuesday is a time for the world to come together & show how powerful humanity can be when we unite to give on one day! Canadian Breast Cancer Support Fund is pleased to be part of the Giving Tuesday movement!

Our Think Pink Live Green™ presentations provide information on how to reduce exposure to environmental toxins. By examining what we put on and in our bodies and understanding the impact, we will learn the importance of reducing exposure to specific toxins as they relate to breast cancer.

Shall We Knit? There is no better example of the local yarn shop creating a community. Knitting is wonderful, but knitting in isolation is less of a joy. This local yarn shop provides a gathering place, a place for inspiration, for instruction, for connection with others like us. That is why the atmosphere and attitude of a shop matters almost as much as the inventory.
It's a shop where everyone must feel welcome and comfortable, regardless of age, size, or skill level.
Shall We Knit? is located in the city of Waterloo and strives to maintain a sense of community for the knitters of the Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph and Stratford areas. Check out the website for their next amazing worksop!
